My apologiess... not that anyone is actually reading this but I still apologize for not keeping up. Anyway a ton has happened since my first and only post, so I shall get to it.
Brazil
So we left for the largest country in Latin America last week, beginning with a 20 or so hour bus rie (wheee! Its as fun as it sounds.) Got into Puerto Alegre - which isnt as happy as one would believe - and began our week of intrinsically useless classes. What I'd love to know is why they named the program after MERCOSUR if we aren't going to focus on it except in the periphery? We did do some cool things - i.e. Moviemiento Sin Tierra - but they were a bit on the militeristic side of things for my tastes, but whatevs - but on the whole I thought it was repetitive. EXCEPT! We did have this one class that was amazingg. I'm probably going to fail because we couldnt stop laughing the professor was so so so ridiculously amazing. Damn you Clark and Liannette! I wish there was video. Enno... wherever you are - know you are loved. After our week in Puerto Alegre, we went to Iguazu Falls before the great divide - probably one of the most awesome places ever andddd my camera died. Jackass. Seriously though, google it cause its so gorgeous.
Thenn there were 10... Paraguay
So here I am in Paraguay. A more different country you couldnt imagine after Argentina and Brazil - the infrastructure completely changes the minute you hit the other side of the river. Its much more along the lines of 3rd world-ness I kinda expected from Latin America... Anyway, its been prettty quiet here - kinda strange. I can say that Im having a bad time - just not a great time. Some people want to stay for the upcoming elections on Sunday but I have a feeling Im going to be peacing out to Buenos Aires - even though Ill be there for at least another month, I still have things I want to see and do.
So thats me tilllll now... hasta luego!
